Happy Birthday to Me! Thanks to all of my friends and family it was a great time! I had a great weekend, with no time to write here. I took a few photos of the gorgeous pink blossoms at Balboa Park, but other than that I was running around with friends and eating everything in the Valley. I got some really cool presents that will make for fun blogging. I got a cool purse-sized moleskine notebook and then the FLIP for mini movie making. Aren't you sooooo psyched that you will soon be seeing weekly kitty cam videos? Woo-Hoo!! Thank you for all the good wishes and fun!

Happy Birthday to you Grandma! November 12, 1924 was a joyful day in Santiago, Chile. That was the day that mi abuelita was born; the loveliest, funniest, sharpest-tongued woman I know. ("Really!!?" my personal favorite grandma phrase) I understand that as a child, when she wasn't terrorizing the maids in her household, she was outdoors roaming the city on her beloved bicycle. She has had many "loves" since riding bikes: like hanging out at the club with friends, her family, me most of all (of course), playing canasta and bridge, and dancing. I suspect dancing might be her greatest love...as my grandpa says at every family wedding, "she's rather dance than breathe." And since 80 is the new 40, boogie on grandma!
